The Green Necklace: The Vision Quest of Edward Mahon
Edward Mahon emigrated to BC in 1890 to seek out business opportunities for his Irish family interests. He was an active player in the Slocan mining boom, and the founder of the Kootenay city that would commemorate his Irish roots - Castlegar. Although his vision for Castlegar was not realized, he achieved immortality with his legacy of greenways in North Vancouver, collectively known as the Green Necklace. The book is based on exclusive family records and photographs, which provided the basis for complimentary exhibits in Castlegar and North Vancouver.

Trails in Time: Reflections
This book documents the efforts by the author to realize his vision of walking and ski touring trails in the vicinity of Castlegar. The driving philosophy was to create trails with minimal environmental footprints which would play a multiple role: to provide healthy physical exercise, stimulate spirituality, and offer pathways into the past. The latter goal was achieved by extensive research, accumulation of resources, and connections with like-minded people and supporters. Although the full realization of the projected vision proved to be impossible, an admirable legacy of enhanced trails remains.
The book is accompanied by an option to obtain a supplementary digital image bank, consisting of hundreds of colour photographs and maps.
ISBN No. 978-0-9880163-1-6
